The Kidco fireplace guard offers an attractive, safe remedy to both problems with one great product. In fact, when you bring this HearthGate to your home, you’ll enjoy an attractive addition to your decor that actually compliments your fireplace or woodstove. To provide all-season protection from contact with the hearth itself, the Kidco HearthGate features a strong tubular steel frame that will stand up to the most rambunctious toddlers and pets. The 29.5” height discourages climbing, and the non-toxic finish is safe for use around little ones and easy to clean and maintain. Each Kidco HearthGate basic set includes one walk through door. With an easy release for adults that’s designed to be opened with just one hand, you still have convenient access to the fireplace without have to disassemble the gate pieces. If you’ve ever struggled with an armload of wood and a toddler underfoot, you’ll appreciate the fact that there’s just enough room for you to access the fireplace without kids getting too close. Because the door swings open in either direction, you are free to configure it in the way that works best for you. The Kidco HearthGate is available in black, but if white is desired you may substitute the Kidco ConfigureGate Model G80. Although the Kidco fireplace gate is intended for children ages 6-36 months, it’s not recommended for use with children taller than 42”.
